'Residence Frantoio del Monte', Massarosa (Ref. 9423P1) Ex oil mill divided into 6 flats and a cottage near Lucca ideal to reach Tuscan cities and beach. The origin of the olive mill date back to the 14th century. The main historical building plus barn and stables have been expensively renovated to a very high standard. Not only is comfort paramount, all of the apartments are huge with the most impressive roof beams we have ever seen. Each apartment is furnished individually and attention has been paid to every detail. The 12mx6m pool is situated next to the olive grove where guests can sit under the shade of trees and make use of the barbecues and table and chairs provided for dining "al fresco". The small country town of Massarosa is just 1 km away and has some excellent family run trattorie and the usual shops and bars. The Olive Mill offers spacious, high standard accomodation in a location convenient for the beaches of Versilia and exploring Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The ground of the estate are completely enclosed and children can play and run in absolute security. There is a picturesque olive grove all around with a flowing stream that has for centuries provided the power to operate the mill. Sound of the water rushing through the grounds are very soothing.
