Schneeberg is afar 20 km south-east of Zwickau and about 30 km northern from the Czech border. Our town is very influenced of special customs and traditions of the miners since many centuries. It offers - jointly with its surroundings - many opportunities to walk (e.g. Fichtelberg 1214 m), to go swimming in the summer and winter-time (e.g. bathing-beach Filzteich, Radiumbad Schlema), a baroque old town with our Saint-Wolfgang-Cathedral (Lucas-Cranach-Altar), museums, mines for tourists, Erzgebirgish popular art (e.g. carving and making lace) besides winter sports (e.g. ski). The Christmas season is especially impressive. The prices include all the costs like heating, warm water, towels , bed-linen and taxes.
