Swimming pool (9/6m., open from May to October) with lounge-chairs. It is possible to close the swimming pool for the children.
A childrens bed, bath and chair are available + also 5 bycicles.
Facilities: at less than 100m. you have a bakery, a restaurant, a snackbar, a bank with a cash machine, some stores where you can find everything you need and some bars where they serve tasty tapas.
Extremadura is especially known for the delicious "pata negra" (iberic ham). The region is unknown by the most nord-europeans. Still, it is one of the most beautiful regions of Spain with different bird reserves and a beautiful scenery. The people are very friendly and there is almost no criminality. There is a continental climate with hot, dry summers (+/- 40°C) and cool winters (10-15°C). The cork-oak dominates the scenery and when "La Jara" blooms in the spring, the view is fantastic. An advise for everyone who loves the peaceful nature.
Sights: In La Codosera you have the castle, at 3km from the village you have a place of pilgrimage "Chandavila".
Interesting villages are in Spain: Alburquerque, Cáceres, Mérida(an old roman city), Almendralejo (known for the wine),...
In portugal you have Portalegre, Castelo de Vide and Campo Maior.
What can you do in La Codosera?
Piscinas Naturales (Natural swimming pools) at 4km;
horse riding, quads, go for a walk (there are different tours),...
Festivity's: carnival, Semana Santa and the first week of august, there is a party in de village.
For who? For everyone who wants to enjoy the nature in one of the most beautiful regions in Spain.
