The broad coastline of the Costa del Azahar is protected against west wind by the Iberian coast Mountain range. The impressive mount region is very thinly populated, but has a number of attractive historical villages and (walled) cities with valid castles, churches and convents. Furthermore there are numerous gaps, rivers, lakes, sources and prehistoric (stalactite)caves with murals. A number of national parks and nature reserves in the direct hinterland accommodates a diversity to (protected) fauna and flora. This undiscovered part of Spain, far from the Mass tourism, is an eldorado for walkers and cyclists, who appreciate rest, silence and untouched nature. Moreover some foot- and mountainbikepaths begin in about 200 meters of our house.Naturally the Costa del Azahar has a numerous (mundane) bathing resorts and picturesque fishing villages, of which the history returns to the Greeks. The larger cities Castellon and Valencia are except for (cultural)historical interested very worth it for museum visit and shopping. Even Barcelona is thanks to quick car connections, train - bus - reached within two hours. In or on short distance of Peñiscola it possible to attend all kinds of sport (golf, fly-fisching, karting, boat excursions, car excursions, walking, bicycles, diving, Para sporting, water-skiing, bowling, squash etc.)
