The holiday home is located at 6.5 km from Chiclana, a great town with many little shops and restaurants, and a true old fashioned daily market. Jerez, known for its sherry and riding school, is 25 km away and the medieval cities Medina Sidonia (18 km) and Vejer (33 km) are worth a visit for their authentic centres and gorgeous views, as they both were built on the top of a mountain. Beaches are endless and the nearest are those of Sancti Petri near Chiclana, at 10 km, but the beaches of San Fernando and Puerto de Santa María are gorgeous too. Just past Vejer you will see Caños de Meca, a pretty bay with naturist beaches.
The high and ancient village Arcos de la Frontera at the Sierra de Grazalema, with its famous white mountain villages, is 55 km away. The first village is El Bosque from where you can make great nature walks which you can book at the tourist office in the village. The holiday home is located near the nature park Los Alcornocales (the cork oaks). In San Fernando (6 km) you can shop in the fabulous shopping centre Bahía Sur, beautifully located in the bay of Cádiz, with many modern and pretty shops.
The city of Seville, with its idyllic palace, cathedral and other beautiful attractions from its Arabic past, is only 115 km away and can be easily visited as a day excursion. The road net of the Cádiz province is excellent with good motorways. The nearest airports are Jerez (25 km) and Seville (115 km).
